In 1976 in a cellar in Denmark, a young silversmith, Soren Nielsen, created a small silver orb with delicate faces sculpted onto it. When he drilled a hole through his creation, the very first Trollbead, 'the Mask', was born. At first, Trollbeads could only be found in a tiny jewelers shop in Copenhagen, until they caught the eyes of customers and requests for new creations in different symbols and shapes flooded in. The legacy of Trollbeads had begun.
Today, Trollbeads are found internationally, in more than 40 countries from the United States to Holland and Japan. Though they've come a far way from Soren Nielsen's cellar workshop, what hasn't changed is the exquisite craftsmanship, detail and quality that goes into the creation of each handmade bead.
